Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles are incorporated by our trained direct support professionals to encourage positive behaviors, manage sensory sensitivities, establish visual and predictable schedules, and reduce stress or maladaptive coping mechanisms.
Do residents have private bedrooms?+
Yes. Each resident has their own private bedroom that can be furnished and decorated according to their sensory and personal preferences.
Are DDA Core and IFS waivers accepted?+
Yes. Avenue Home is DDA-certified and partners directly with Washington State DDA case managers to accept state-funded waiver programs as well as qualified private arrangements.
How are medical appointments and medications managed?+
We work with a contracted Registered Nurse (RN) Delegation specialist. Medications are securely stored, tracked, and administered with digital MAR compliance, and transportation can be arranged for medical visits.
